Neil Smith is a writer and translator from Montreal. He is the author of three books of fiction, Jones (2022), Boo (2015), and Bang Crunch (2007), all of which were nominated for the Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction. Boo won the award. His fiction has been translated into several languages.rnrnNeil is also the winner of the McAuslan First Book Prize and the Prix de la Biennale littéraire des Cèdres. Other award nominations include the Sunburst Award, the Journey Prize, the Canadian Library Association Young Adult Book Award, the carte blanche Prize, the Governor General’s Literary Award for Translation, and the Prix des libraires du Québec.
