Ronald Sutherland

Ronald Sutherland was born and raised in the largely French-speaking East End of Montreal. He taught at l’Université de Sherbrooke and founded the discipline of Comparative Canadian Literature. He published numerous scholarly articles and books, humourous vignettes for newspapers and novels, one of which, Lark des Neiges, became the feature film Suzanne.
