Etua Snowball

Etua Snowball is an Inuk author who writes of his traditional and unexpected experiences in a modernizing world. He is an accomplished actor, sculptor, and artist, and an award-winning musician. Etua grew up in Kuujjuaq and on the land in Qurlutuq near Kangirsualujjuaq, Nunavik. Befriending and raising wild animals kept his life eventful and closer to nature as he grew into adulthood. In an effort to keep his culture strong, Etua is also the Executive Director of the Isuarsivik Regional Recovery Centre. He holds a McGill University honours degree and has won a Prime Minister’s Award for teaching excellence and a Citizenship Award.
