Judy Sklar Rasminsky

Judy Sklar Rasminsky grew up in sunny Los Angeles and earned a BA from Stanford University, but she is an Easterner at heart. After she finished my MA at Columbia University, she worked for many years at book publishers in New York and London and eventually ended up in snowy Montreal, where she morphed into a freelance writer and editor and teamed up with Barbara Kaiser, an early childhood consultant, keynote speaker, and trainer. Together they have authored several books, including Challenging Behavior in Young Children (now in its fourth edition) and Challenging Behavior in Elementary and Middle School (Pearson Education), which both won Texty Awards for textbook excellence. Their bestselling Meeting the Challenge became a Comprehensive Membership Benefit of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
