Melanie Power

Melanie Power is the author of Full Moon of Afraid and Craving (McGill-Queen’s University Press, spring 2022). Her work has appeared broadly in literary journals such as The Malahat Review, Arc Poetry Magazine, Poetry Ireland Review, Prairie Fire, Grain Magazine, Southword Journal, and elsewhere. Her poetry has been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, Arc’s Poem of the Year Contest, as well as longlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize. She holds an MA in English Literature from Concordia University. Born and raised in Newfoundland, she now lives in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal).
