J. Jacob Potashnik spent his youth working with his photographer dad, traveling whenever he could, and working as a prep chef in restaurant and hotel kitchens, but he decided he didn’t have the back for it. Instead he studied communications and moved into film and television. He co-wrote the WGC Award-winning feature film STARDOM with Denys Arcand. In addition to screenwriting, he works as a producer, script consultant, and educator. Writing in prose has been his lifelong compulsion. Jacob lives in his boyhood home in Montreal with his wife, Pascale Landry, Ph.D.
