Monique Polak is the author of 36 books for young readers. She is a three-time winner of the QWF Janet Savage Blachford Prize for Children’s and YA Fiction (previously named the QWF Prize for Children’s and YA Fiction). She taught at Marianopolis College for 35 years and has written many stories for The Gazette. Monique’s books have been translated into French, Dutch, Korean and Albanian. Monique was a longtime columnist on ICI Radio-Canada’s popular literary show, Plus on est de fous, plus on lit! Her latest book is Remember This: The Fascinating World of Memory (Orca, 2024).
