Edward Pechter teaches at Concordia University in Montreal. His academic interests have been divided between practical criticism, focused mostly on Shakespeare but extending to other dramatic and non-dramatic writers chiefly in the Renaissance (Marlowe, Jonson, Webster, Milton, Dryden, et al), and the ongoing history of criticism (ways in which people have written about and continue to write about literature).
