Donna Nebenzahl’s recent book To Linger With You: A Memoir of Sunshine and Longing (Stonehewer Books) is the story of her childhood in the colony of British Guiana in South America, about life in the tropics, the power of family and the happiness and loneliness of childhood.
A newspaper journalist for more than 30 years, she is also author of the book Womankind: Faces of Change Around the World (Raincoast Books) featuring 40 activist women from five continents. She also conceived and wrote the documentary film Twice Upon a Garden featuring philanthropist and gardener Elsie Reford. For several years, she produced the blog Earthbound, about the grassroots movements to safeguard food and the environment.
She is a member of part-time faculty in the Department of Journalism at Concordia University and is currently working on a novel.
