Desmond Morton was the author of more than 30 books on Canada and was a frequent contributor to CBC, Radio-Canada, the Toronto Star, the Montreal Gazette, and the Ottawa Citizen. He was the Hiram Mills Professor at McGill University’s Department of History. He specialized in Canadian military, political and industrial relations history.
