Robert Michael McKenzie was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, on New Year’s Eve 1944. He grew up in Regina and moved to Montreal in 1962 to study engineering at McGill University. There he edited a weekly poetry magazine called The Page, and was also editor-in-chief for the literary magazine Forge.rnrnIn the mid-90’s, McKenzie returned the university to study creative writing at Concordia University. He divides his time between Montreal and Lake Placid, New York.rn
