Robert Lecker was cofounder and copublisher of ECW Press from 1977 to 2003. In that role he was responsible for developing numerous titles in the fields of popular culture, music, entertainment, and popular science. He was also the creator and manager of ECW’s Secret Guides, an innovative series of travel books devoted to North America’s most interesting and quirky cities. He is the author of the Zagat Guide to Montreal restaurants, and has been involved in writing about food and food culture for many years.rnrnAs an author and editor, Lecker has more than 250 books to his credit, and he was the coordinating editor for projects initiated by such publishers as Harper and Row, Macmillan, G. K. Hall, Gale Publishing, House of Anansi Press, and University of Toronto Press. He resides in Montreal.
