Barry Lane has lectured extensively on Canadian Pacific on rail tours and on cruise ships. Born in Regina, he studied history at the Royal Military College of Canada, served as a staff officer with the United Nations in the Middle East, and later co-founded Mendel Tours, a company in Quebec City that teaches Canadian history and culture.
