Gunda Lambton was born in Germany and studied art in Italy, Spain, and the U.K. She moved to Canada in 1940 and began teaching and farming. She has written articles on rural life in a North Ontario mining town for CBC International Service, TransCanada Matinée, and The Globe & Mail. From 1967-72 she worked at the National Gallery Education Department. She received a B.A. from Ottawa University in 1983 and an M.A. from Carleton University in 1988. She lives on a farm in Quebec and has written articles on the environment Harrowsmith. She also writes and illustrates children’s books.
