Author of The Girls of Piazza D’Amore, Connie Guzzo-McParland was born in Italy but raised in Canada. As a transplanted child of the 50s and a product of the multilingual, multicultural milieu of east-end Montreal of the 60s and 70s, she has been both blessed and cursed with a multifaceted vision of the world. A hardened multi-tasker, she has juggled a multiplicity of life experiences- from hairstylist to teacher, to wife and mother, to business operator, to graduate student, to publisher, to writer of The Girls of Piazza d’Amore.
