John Goddard

As a reporter and photographer for Canadian Press, John Goddard covered the transition to black majority rule in Zimbabwe, reported on the American hostage crisis from Tehran, and in 1982 became the agency’s first correspondent in the Canadian North. He has written for magazines since 1984, contributing to Saturday Night, Harrowsmith, and Equinox, winning two National Magazine Awards and a fellowship from the Asia Pacific Foundation. He lives in Montreal.
