Susan Gillis

Born in Halifax, Susan has lived on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. After more than two decades in Montreal, she moved to rural eastern Ontario, where she writes and works, leading workshops and offering editorial guidance and mentorship to writers at all stages of their practice. She is also a member of Yoko’s Dogs, a poetry collective dedicated to writing collaborative verse. Her second book, Volta (Signature Editions, 2002), won the A. M. Klein Prize for Poetry.
