Jamieson Findlay

Born in Ottawa, Jamieson Findlay grew up there and in Whitehorse, Yukon. Along with Pilgrims of the Upper World, his novels include The Blue Roan Child (2002) and The Summer of Permanent Wants (2011) both published by Doubleday Canada. He is a past winner of the City of Ottawa Book Award for
fiction (2012). A science writer by trade, he is currently storyteller and grant writer at Nature Canada. His degree is in history (from Queen’s University), and he is a keen musician, hiker, and cross-country skier. He has participated in charity treks in Nepal (to the Mt. Everest Base Camp) and in New York
State/Ontario (on the Algonquin to Adirondacks “Pilgrimage for Nature” Trail). He lives in Chelsea, Quebec.
