Sara Ferdman Tauben

Sara has degrees in History and Art History from Haifa University, Israel and was part of the first graduating class in Fashion Design at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv, Israel. Before receiving a Masters degree in Judaic Studies from Concordia University in 2004, she was a professional interior designer for more than a decade and has designed several homes from the foundations to furnishings. A volunteer in the Montreal Jewish community for over thirty years, Sara’s leadership has been recognized with multiple awards including The Young Leadership (1988) and the Distinguished Leadership Award (2004). Raised in a Yiddish-speaking home, Sara is fluent in Hebrew and French in addition to her mameloshen. Traces of the Past is the result of the convergence of her unique background, experiences and skills.
