Humorist, singer/songwriter, comedian and actor, Lorne Elliott has been working as a theatre practitioner for the past 30 years. His 11 seasons as the star and host of CBC Radio Comedy Series Madly Off In All Directions has provided him with an excellent following of CBC listeners who attend his concerts all over Canada. He has toured his one-man concert performance in Canada, the U.S., Australia, as far as Singapore and he has participated in a wide array of comedy festivals and theatre festivals around the world. As a playwright he was awarded the 2012 Best New Musical Award by Playwrights Guild of Canada for his musical play Jamie Rowsell Lives.”He published a novella in 2009, and his first novel, Beach Reading (2013), was shortlisted for the QWF’s Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction.
