Deborah Eibel was a Montreal poet and English teacher. She began writing poetry in the stacks at Redpath Library of McGill University. She was educated at McGill, Radcliffe College and Johns Hopkins University. She taught at universities in Canada and the United States, including Concordia University, the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and Johns Hopkins.
