Dian Cohen

Dian Cohen was born in Winnipeg in 1932. She has had a long career as an economics commentator on television and radio, first with the CBC and then with CTV. In 1968 she commenced a long-term position as a syndicated newspaper and magazine columnist on personal money management, economic, and business affairs. She has also published several popular books on economic matters. She parlayed her talent of making economics understandable to the general public into a successful career as an educator on several academic radio programs and as an economics consultant and public speaker. Cohen’s talents have been recognized over the years with the many awards and recognitions she has received, including the Order of Canada in 1993.
