Marie Barlizo is Montreal playwright and producer. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC and is the first BIPOC to graduate from National Theatre School’s Playwriting Program. She’s an instructor at NTS, dramaturg for Teesri Duniya’s Fireworks Play Development Program, recipient of the Bernard Amyot Teaching Award and winner of the Jovette Marchessault award for Playwriting. She produced The Healing at Centaur’s 2026 Winterworks Festival. She has done residencies at theatres across Canada and the Philippines to develop her projects.
