Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette is the director of of two internationally known films, The Ring, and Inch’Allah. After living in Honduras and studying at the Université de Montréal, Birzeit University in Palestine, and the Montreal Institut national de l’image et du son, she became well-known for numerous documentary films winning awards at festivals in Canada and abroad. For many years she has lived and worked in the Hochelaga-Masionneuve neighbourhood of Montreal.
