Catherine Austen writes books for children, short stories for adults, and reports for corporate clients. Her books have won the Hackmatack Children’s Choice Award, the Quebec Writers’ Federation Prize for Children’s Literature, and the Canadian Library Association Young Adult Book Award. Her short stories have appeared in The Fiddlehead, The New Quarterly, and Write. Catherine has given writing workshops and presentations from coast to coast, and she is the host of the creative writing podcast, Cabin Tales. She lives in Gatineau, Quebec.
