Marie-Louise Gay has written and/or illustrated over 70 books for children. Her books have been published in over 20 languages, and some have been adapted for puppet theatre, live theatre, and an award-winning animated TV series. She has won many awards for her work, including two Governor General’s Awards, the Vicky Metcalfe Body of Work Award, and the E.B.White Award, as well as been nominated twice for the Hans Christian Andersen Award and once for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
