The September Years

From 1925 to 1963 Vera Munro taught in many schools in the Montreal area. At her retirement, she was the principal of a large modern school. From diaries and memories, she documents an important era in Quebec education. She says: “I have a deep and growing sense of my responsibility to share these memories of times that are so long gone. It is my hope that this story may provide a peephole into the past, a heartwarming moment for those who relate to this part of Quebec, and an eye opener to young folk who might find it difficult to believe that there ever were such goings on!”
