We Love Montréal on t'aime

Curated by Tina Wayland
“The books in this collection speak to the multitudes of Montreal—its languages and people, the many cultures that form its singularity, the way we can look through its lens and see the kaleidoscope of who we are as a city. Richler’s Duddy and Fiorito’s collection of columns explore life on the Main and beyond, while Thomas provides the poetic perspective of new arrivals grappling with how to fit in. Drimonis shines light into dark corners to ask if immigrants really are so different, and Slapak looks what it means to call a place, including this place, home. Finally, Simon walks us through the landscape to hear its voices in translation—understanding the city in ways only Montrealers can.”
