African Dolls for Play and Magic

This publication touches upon the origins and universality of dolls and provides a general view of their role and value to African societies driven by and rooted in the fertility cult. Dolls, and where applicable figurines, of 35 countries from over 80 ethnic groups are included in this presentation.
