The Rocking Chair by A.M. Klein

In this collection of poems, Klein empathizes with the French Canadian people as a Jew. He finds that they have in common their “minority position; ancient memories; and desire for group survival.” There is a somewhat bitter tone to the collection, it has been argued, and a pessimistic regard towards the future.
