Translator Daniel Sloate curates the poetry in this collection from a fifteen year period beginning in 1987 and culminating in 2002. Works featured here come from 1987’s Sign Discrete, Sign Discreet; 1990’s Lessons from Venice; 1992’s The Angel’s Swan Dive, as well as that year’s The Face of Colour; 1995’s Cemeteries: Silent Rage; 1996’s “My Joy,” She Shouts; 2000’s Memorial to Lou; and 2002’s During Death.
