Louise Carson has been widely published in such magazines as Event, subTerrain, Cahoots, Montreal Serai, Poetry-Quebec, The Nashwaak Review, Vallum, The Montreal Review, Geist, Prairie Fire, Carousel, The Literary Review of Canada, The Antigonish Review, The Dalhousie Review, JONAH Magazine, The Impressment Gang, The Windsor Review, The Kitchen Window Gallery (UK) and many others. Poems have also appeared in thirteen chapbooks and five anthologies, including The Best Canadian Poetry in English 2013 and long-listed for The Best Canadian Poetry in English 2014.
One of her poems won a 2013 Manitoba Magazines Publishers’ Association award in the category of Best Poem or Suite of Poems.
Her books are Rope: A Tale told in Prose and Verse (Broken Rules Press, 2011), Mermaid Road (Broken Rules Press, 2013), A Clearing (Signature Editions, 2015), and Executor, a political mystery featuring poets as both victim and sleuth (Signature Editions, 2015). The Cat Among Us, a mystery, was published in 2017 by Signature Editions.
