Born into privilege in Hungary, Hermann Gruenwald’s idyllic childhood came to an end in 1944 when he and his family were sent to Auschwitz. In 1950, Gruenwald and his wife immigrated to Canada, where he experienced spectacular success in the Montreal garment trade. Currently, he is the owner and manager of Reliable Hosiery. Also active in real estate, he still lives in Montreal.
