Writer, poet, anthologist, and translator Pierre DesRuisseaux was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in 1945. After completing his studies in philosophy at the Université de Montréal, he worked as a writer and editor for several newspapers and magazines. Among his published works are several collections of poetry.
