William

William Tetley, now professor of international law, McGill University, was serving as a minister in Robert Bourassa’s cabinet when the October Crisis broke out. He is Chairman of the Paris-based International Maritime Arbitration Organization, and has research interests in international maritime law, international arbitration, and conflicts of law.

Tetley’s books on maritime law are internationally renowned and published in several languages, including Japanese, Chinese, and Russian. He practiced law for 18 years, was an elected member of the Québec National Assembly for 8 years and a Cabinet Minister.
