Raymond Filip
Born in a displaced persons camp after World War II, Lithuanian by blood, Canadian by citizenship, and married to a Filipina: three continents populate Filip’s voice. In 1994, he won the QSPELL/QWF poetry award for his book Flowers in Magnetic Fields. His work appears in The Penguin Treasury of Popular Canadian Songs and Poems edited by J.R. Colombo (2002).
