H. Nigel Thomas
H. Nigel Thomas grew up on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent, spent 18 years teaching at Université Laval in Quebec City, and now lives in Montreal. His novel Spirits in the Dark was shortlisted for the 1994 QSPELL Hugh MacClennan Fiction Award. He is also the author of From Folklore to Fiction: A Study of Folk Heroes and Rituals in the Black American Novel; How Loud Can the Village Cock Crow?; and Moving Through Darkness, a collection of poems.
