Kate Sterns was born in Kingston, Ontario, and currently lives in Montreal. She is an assistant professor of Creative Writing at Concordia University. She is the author of the novel Thinking About Magritte and the radio plays The Bagel Philosopher, and Once in a Blue Moon, which were broadcast on BBC Radio Four.
