Clare Braux was born in Montreal. She is a graduate of Sir George Williams University. She is a former high school art teacher and author of the novel Medusa and Her Sisters. Her second novel, The Devil Only Knows is being considered for publication in 1998. Eighteen of her short stories have been published in literary quarterlies from 1985 to 1998—six of them anthologized. Four of her poems have been published.
