Connie Barnes Rose
Connie Barnes Rose was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia and moved to Montreal in 1975 where she met her future spouse. In 1980 she entered Concordia University as a mature student and by 1998 graduated with her M.A. in English while staying at home with her two children. Apart from the novel Getting Out of Town, her work has appeared in several literary magazines and anthologies. Connie Barnes Rose was a finalist for the QSPELL Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Dartmouth Book and Writing Award in 1997.
