Gunda Lambton was born in Germany and studied art in Italy, Spain, and the U.K. She moved to Canada in 1940 and began teaching and farming. She has written articles on rural life in a North Ontario mining town for CBC International Service, TransCanada Matinée, and The Globe & Mail. From 1967-72 she worked at the National Gallery Education Department. She received a B.A. from Ottawa University in 1983 and an M.A. from Carleton University in 1988. She is living on a Quebec farm and has written articles on the environment Harrowsmith. She participated in Hors Série exhibition, Hull, Quebec from 1987-1990. She conducted studio tours in 1990 and 1992. She is writing and illustrating children’s books.
