Charles Foran
Charles Foran is from Toronto. He holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University College, Dublin, and has taught at universities in China, Hong Kong, and Canada. He has published seven books, including four novels, and writes regularly for magazines and newspapers in Canada and elsewhere. He has won awards for his work. Foran has also made radio documentaries for the CBC ‘Ideas’ program on subjects ranging from Hong Kong cinema to contemporary Indian writing. He lives in Peterborough, Ontario, with his wife, Mary Ladky, and their daughters, Anna and Claire.
