Charles Foran is from Toronto. He holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University College, Dublin, and has taught at universities in China, Hong Kong, and Canada. His publications include novels, as well as magazine and newspaper articles. Foran has also made radio documentaries for the CBC Ideas programme on subjects ranging from Hong Kong cinema to contemporary Indian writing. He lives in Peterborough, Ontario, with his wife and children.
