Geoffrey Cook was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and currently teaches English at John Abbott College in Montreal. He has a B.A. in Literary Studies from the University of Toronto and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from Carleton University. His poems have appeared widely in such journals as The Antigonish Review, Descant, Matrix and Pottersfield Portfolio, and in the anthologies of Atlantic Canadian poetry, Landmarks (2001) and Coastlines (2002). His essays, reviews and interviews have been published in Books in Canada and in The Danforth Review, an online journal, where he was a poetry editor for five years. His first book, Postscript (VĂ©hicule Press/Signal Editions: 2004), was short listed for the 2002 Alfred G. Bailey Award (Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick) and for the 2005 Gerald Lampert Memorial Award (League of Canadian Poets).
