Elizabeth Robert
Élizabeth Robert, B.A. in Spécialisation de traduction from Concordia University, fluently speaks, writes and translates French, English and Spanish. Member of the Literary Translators’ Association of Canada (LTAC), she specializes in poetry translation.
Élizabeth organizes and participates in many literary festivals, events and lectures, giving special attention to migrant literature. Namely, she has taken part in: Blue Metropolis, Journée mondiale du livre et des droits d’auteurs, ALTA & LTAC Joint Conference and La poésie prend le métro.
She is the founder and host of Noches de poesía, a multilingual public reading serie that gathers poets of various origins every first Wednesday of the month, and promotes them via a popular blogsite www.nochesdepoesia.com. Member of the Board, Élizabeth is very much involved with Diffusion Adage, a non-profit organization that promotes literature and multiculture in a profesionnal yet friendly setting, both in Canada and abroad. In 2007, Élizabeth has been involved with the Young Poets section of the League of Canadian Poets and was selected to represent Montréal for the 4th edition of Random Acts of Poetry.
