Josh Freed
In addition to his Saturday column in the Montreal Gazette, Josh Freed has produced and hosted over 50 documentaries, in addition to his regular appearances om CBC-TV’s ‘Midday’. He wrote and directed the feature North to Nowhere, (which won three Gemini Awards in1986) and wrote and directed The Last Train to Medicine Hat, which was aired on PBS in 1991. Josh Freed is co-editor of The Anglo Guide ot Survival in Quebec, which sold over 90 000 copies, and the author of Moonwebs: Journey into the Mind of a Cult. The movie version of the book, Ticket to Heaven, recieved a Genie Award for best Canadian Film in 1984. Stories form Sign Language have appeared in Reader’s Digest. Freed lives in Montreal wiht his wife and child.
