Judge Harry Steinberg passed away after a sudden illness in 1995. He is remembered by jurists, lawyers and Jewish readers across Canada, who were the principal clients for his first book, and aware of his important role in the defense of individual rights and freedoms while on the Court of Appeals. He worte two books: Backstage at the Palace and By a Jury of His Peers.
