José Acquelin


José Acquelin has published over 20 poetry books. He studied at the Université de Montréal and the Université Toulouse-Le Mirail. His poetry collection, L’oiseau respirable, was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award in 1996 and his poetry collection, Anarchie de la lumière, won the Governor General’s Literary Award in 2014. He is a member of the Union de écrivaines et écrivains québécois and is also the producer and host of various literary events. His poems have been translated into many languages, including English, Spanish, Romanian, and Italian. He lives in Montreal.
