Stephen Schecter

Stephen Schecter is a Montreal sociologist. He teaches at the Universite de Quebec and is a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Group on Post-Modern studies. He has written books on the city, on AIDS, and on Canada’s constitutional imbroglio, but his main focus now is sociological theory. Schecter has also published one volume of stories and another of poetry.
